Today is Day 2 of the WATER’S BLOOD book tour, and I’m happy to say that I’m still feeling well. You never realize how wonderful it is to get through a day feeling good until you’ve felt cruddy for a week! Today’s stop is a spotlight on New Orleans, the setting for Water’s Blood. Hi all, For those who have traveled to New Orleans (and even those who haven’t), do you ever wonder what movies portray the city accurately and those that don’t? For my listing, check out the guest blog today, where I list some of my faves and dislikes. The nice Casey Ryan from Twitter is hosting my article: Read guest blog here.
Hey all, I’m guest blogging for a writer friend of mine today. Check out the blog post at her site here. For anyone who comments on the post, you are entered to win a ceramic coaster of a Fleur de Lis, shown below. The post will be up and live for March 3 and 4 (Sunday and Monday). Thanks and good luck!
Hey all and happy weekend! I seriously thought the weekend would never arrive. Ever feel like that? It’s such a relief, and almost hard to believe, when the days DO arrive. A pal of mine who lived in Louisiana (amazing how us Louisiana born and bred folks tend to congregate) wanted to host me on his blog. Of course, I said yes! Check it out and leave a comment if you can! Click here to read my guest blog.
Hey all, Yes, today is #SuperBowlSunday. And as usual, I don’t even know who the teams are that are competing. BUT I do know that the game is being held in New Orleans, my good ole hometown. They’ve been rebuilding the airport and adding lots of venues for years now, which makes me happy because the airport used to be a ghost town in terms of places to eat, drink, hang out before a flight. Those of you who are lucky enough to be IN New Orleans (#NOLA, as we locals affectionately call it) might want to check out some local things – – 1. Frenchmen Street on the edge of the Quarter has far more variety, music, and atmosphere than Bourbon Street ever had. And it’s classier. 2. Best Bloody Mary in the city? Flanagan’s Pub on St. Philip Street. 3. City Park in Mid-City is a beautiful place for a picnic, to hang out, or to enjoy a Cafe Au Lait at Morning Call. And if you’re like me and only watch the Super Bowl commercials, take some time to read a good book. (Even mine, should you want to!) Happy Sunday all :)
